The Kallean Empire

Standard Issue Cutlass

Exactly as the name implies these are the standard issue sword of the Kallean army, and while many special units choose to carry a different weapon developed to thier own personal taste main line infantry still choose to go with the age old battle tested blade. Each sword's pummel and hilt are colored to signify the unit the soldier belongs to for the purpose of quick identification in a combat scenario. The 'Cerulian Cutlass' as they have come to be known first got thier name during the formation of the empire in the homeland when the first band of Cerulian Elite elected to go with a standard golden wrapped blade to signify the unit's prestige and strength in combat. After the formation wars had ceased the golden coloration became a staple of all Cerulian elite and it was not long before the newly formed Imperial Army as a whole began to colorize the blades to signify branch affiliation. The pummel and hilt are made of a fine Cerulian ore similar to the strength of folded steel but also light weight while maintaining durability. The blade itself is made of the same material, allowing for mass production given the liquified ore can be poured via mold and wrapped with the appropriate colored leather if desired after forging has been completed.

Primary Battle Bow

A fairly recent addition to the army with the conquest of the Realm of Mirelia, the Kalleans were quick to adopt the semi automatic cross bow into thier arsenal given its versatility. A standard issue weapon for almost any Kallean unit the utilization of the bow makes proposing the Kallean Army with conventional weaponry a potentialy deadly proposition. Long a favorite of more clandestine operations the weapon has seen heavy utilization during the Gnolam war given its effectivness at peircing thick armor. Firing a 7 inch metal bolt with a standard velocity around 400 fps, its kinetic impact of about 145 lbs, and effective range of roughly 45 yards combined with its quick change bolt magazine it is easy to see why the Kallean army has chosen this weapon for the bulk of its fighting forces.

Officers Battle Bow

A slightly more recent improvement on the Primary battle bow the 'Officers' bow as it has been dubbed by the fighting forces was actualy first developed for Special operations teams that required a little more punch in thier weaponry during the Gnolam War given they often faced vastly stronger opponents due to the Gnolam natural size on a 1:1 basis, thus the need for greater stopping power was needed. A little more decorative than the primary bow due to its adoption as an officer's weapon. The officers bow is no joke on the battlefield though firing a 7 inch projectile the same as the primary but boasting an impressive 32 round bolt magazine - 8 more than the standard, along with a velocity around 600 fps, a kinetic impact of around 190 lbs, and a superior effective range of roughly 65 yards.

Infantry Seige Charge

A direct assimilation from a weapon encountered during the conquest of the Realm of Pultea, its strategic value to infatry was seen almost imediatly by the Kallean army given its use by the native Pulteans against the Kalleans nearly caused the campaign to be abandoned. The weapon itself is little more than an explosive charge with primer buttons that strike when thrown causing an explosion upon impact. There is a spherical and a stick charge, though they are favored equally among soldiers in the field given both have the same destructive capabilities. The only known variant to date has been the addition of scrap metal in an 'Anti infantry Charge' to make it deadlier to enemy foot soldiers and calvary, though given its concussive force most aside from Special infiltration teams still opt to use the tried and true original variant of the charge.
